LEV Swept Their Way to the Grand Final. PRX is Waiting.
Leviatán swept EDward Gaming 3-0 to complete their lower bracket run at Masters London and set up a grand final rematch with Paper Rex.
Leviatán is going to the Masters London grand final. When PRX knocked them into the lower bracket, that looked like the end of their tournament. It wasn't.
They swept EDward Gaming 3-0 in the Lower Final tonight. Haven 13-5. Pearl 13-9. Split 13-11. Three maps, nothing for EDG. The 13-11 on Split was the closest thing to drama, and LEV still closed it out clean.
The Run
Count it: Heretics 2-1, XLG 2-0, Vitality 2-0, EDG 3-0. That last three series, LEV haven't given up a single map. They came in through the lower bracket, played four straight elimination matches, and each round they looked more comfortable than the last.
Sato has been the player of this run. He put up 326 ACS and four first kills on Ascent against Heretics in the series where LEV had to win to survive. That kind of form in must-win moments is the whole reason this team is still alive.
Grand Final
PRX vs LEV. June 21. Same PRX that knocked them into the lower bracket in the first place. You couldn't write it better.
PRX is still the favorite. They haven't lost a series in the upper bracket, beat EDG 2-1 yesterday, and they already have the blueprint from beating LEV in the quarterfinals. But LEV has played more maps, more pressure, and has been winning all of it.
