Where Masters London Stands With Five Days Left

PRX and EDG are in the upper bracket final. Everyone else is fighting to survive.

The Swiss stage is a memory. The quarterfinals are done. Here's where the tournament actually is.

The Clear Picture at the Top

PRX beat Vitality 2-1 in the upper semis. EDG beat XLG 2-1 in theirs. So the upper bracket final is PRX vs EDG on June 19, and both teams got here without losing a single series in London. That's the final everyone wanted to see, and it's happening before the actual grand final.

EDG eliminated XLG in what was supposed to be a good story. Two Chinese teams in the same semifinal, one of them getting their first Masters appearance. XLG got their moment in the quarterfinals taking down G2. Then EDG ended it. That's the bracket.

PRX vs EDG is going to tell us a lot. PRX looked untouchable against LEV, then had to work for it against Vitality. EDG has been methodical the whole tournament. I don't have a strong lean yet. I will by Thursday.

The Lower Bracket Is Wild

Today (June 16) has XLG vs LEV and Vitality vs FUT. Two teams are going home. The other two play again Friday in the lower semis.

Vitality vs FUT is the one I'm watching. Vitality dropped a series to PRX but they're still one of the more complete teams here. FUT knocked out NRG in Swiss and have been getting underestimated all week. If FUT beats Vitality today, this bracket gets genuinely unpredictable.

What Matters

One team comes out of the lower bracket and faces the loser of PRX vs EDG in the grand final. That lower bracket run is the whole tournament for anyone not named PRX or EDG right now. Whoever survives today has a path. That's all you need.
