I Predicted 2-1. It Wasn't Close.
PRX beat LEVIATÁN 2-0 in the Masters London quarterfinals, and Ascent 13-1 is the only number that matters.
I predicted 2-1 this morning. PRX gave LEVIATÁN one round on Ascent.
It wasn't 2-1.
How Bad Was It
13-1 on Ascent. Then 13-10 on Lotus. PRX swept the quarterfinal without dropping a map, and the first map wasn't even a contest. That's the kind of scoreline that changes how you think about a team.
d4v41 went 16-5-11 on Ascent with 273 ACS. 1.44 rating for the series. invy ran 268 ACS on the same map playing initiator. That's not the fragger posting a carry performance while the rest of the team holds on. PRX's setup players were hitting those numbers.
LEV wasn't passive on Lotus. Neon posted 9 first kills and 0 first deaths on that map. spike had a 1.52 rating. They competed on the closer map and still lost by three rounds.
What I Missed
My take this morning was that LEV's Swiss momentum was real. It was. They beat NRG to get here. That's not nothing.
What I didn't account for: PRX hadn't played a single game in London yet. I assumed the warmup gap would hurt them by map three. There was no map three. Apparently a fresh PRX is the worst version of PRX to face.
They're playing at a different level than everyone else in this bracket. I'll be watching their semifinal differently than I watched this one.
